This book made me do it is a very interesting and useful non-fiction book written by John Woodward. As the sub-title tells, you can learn a lot on ‘Cool things to make, do, and explore’ with it. The author talks about over 160 COOL THINGS in one single book. That is a cool thing by itself!

Do you know how to twist some fun balloon shapes(P.16-17), or repair a string with magic(P.15)? You will surely amaze your friends and become a SUPER STAR if you can do these at a party.

Are you a food-lover? If you are, the book is also for you because you can learn many cooking skills from it. Moreover, you will know how to make glorious food in an extraordinary way, such as frying an egg in the sun(P.47)! It will also tell you how to eat with good manners, for example, eating spagehetti like an Italian(P.49).

Do you want to get creative too ? Teach your friends knotting a friendship bracelet (P.76), knitting fingerless gloves (P.79) and turning magazines into a necklace (P.82) can definitely make you cool and creative.

Actually , this book is about everything you may want to know, and lots of things you didn’t realize that you wanted to know. Stuff that’s USEFUL, COOL, MIND-BOGGLING, or just FUN. I suggest you find the book in the school library and see what can interest you most!

I would recommend this book to students in P4-P6. Younger students from P1-P3 might also like to look at this book because it is very interesting to all kids. So what are you waiting for?

I know that many of you are curious about and interested in  animals. If you are one of the people who love animals as I do, then this book is a great choice for you to read in your leisure time.

The author of this book uses different questions to tell us the characteristics of different reptiles, such as crocodiles, snakes, turtles, etc. They raised questions that we have never thought about and may not even know the answers. Do you know if there are two-headed snakes in the world? Do you know why turtles have shells? Do you know if crocodiles cry? I did not know the answers before reading this book, but now I know.

This book uses simple English to explain difficult things. Even if you may not know the English names of the reptiles, there are pictures of the animals so that you will not feel confused. You can prepare your magic notes while you are reading, write down the names of the reptiles, draw pictures, and show them to your teachers and classmates! It must be a joyful thing to do.

I liked this book a lot because it is a fun book to read and it also helped improve my knowledge about reptiles. After you read this book, maybe you can teach your classmates all about reptiles too! If you are curious about this book, don’t hesitate! Go to the library and borrow it! You will definitely enjoy it.
